10/4
In today’s class we started off by having about 15 minutes
with our groups from yesterday and completing the voting region assignment. Mr.
Schick gave us a new map for how to section of the different states into parts
of the Unites States. They were separated in ways like- Deep North, Appalachians,
Texas, Sun Belt, and more. Texas was considered its own region because they’re very separated
and independent. They also have always been democratic in the past, so it’s safe to guess
that they won’t be changing any time soon. Then we discussed it as a class and
when over it and talked about which states are where and whether they were Republican
or Democratic. An example was the West coast. It was made up of Washington,
Oregon, and California. It was a highly democratic area. The reason that we separated
into the regions and talked about the past elections is so that we could
possibly predict upcoming elections. Today’s class was a good wrap up to these
last few days
