What is Kiva and what do they do?
Kiva is a non-profit foundation that helps people around the world. The foundation is based in San Francisco and it works by getting people all throughout the world to make loans over the internet to people who need the money. The loans are usually around $25 and are 97% likely to be cashed back to you. There are tons of people who need help for different reasons so you can pick the one that fits you the most and gets you most eager to help out.

Two potential borrowers;
Jamal in Lebanon- He would like a loan of $2,000 to help pay for his three boys’ tuition fees. This sounds like a good place to loan some money because this man is using the money for a good cause. He is trying to pay for his three sons’ education. Education is very important and I think it would be very helpful to donate to him and his family.

Kandjime Group in Mali- She wants a loan of $2,425 to help a member buy rams in order to help support her family. This sounds like another good option because she is helping out her family and is trying to support them. The money is going to someone who wants the money to use it for good reasons. She wants to use the money wisely for something that can really help her family.
