9/21
We started off class by going over the maps we made for last night's homework. Then we talked about places and regions. We discussed the topic question of "why is each point on the Earth unique". We discussed the definitions of place and region. A place is a unique location of a feature. A region is an area of unique characteristics. Each point on the Earth is in some way unique and also in some way different compared to other places. These two basic concepts help geographers to explain why every point on Earth is in some ways unique. Then we talked about the area where we live and how it was different between some people in the class. Overall, today's class was very important because I think places and regions will be a key concept on our next quiz and/or test.
