Today in class we started to talk about geographical regions. Mr. Schick told us about how now we will be starting to get into a hard unit and that listening and note taking will be key. Then we discussed the meaning of a region and we also talked about the key questions for our unit. Next we discussed how each region was different and what factors made each of them unique. Things like food, crops, culture, traditions, language, religion, and climate are examples of how every region is different. So we talked about that for a while and how each region uses it’s differences to thrive. Then we started a worksheet where we looked at a map and we wrote down each region. The worksheet was kinda difficult because there were so many regions listed but not all of them were used. Overall I think today’s class was a good start to the new unit.
